Peter has worked in the financial services industry since 1990, initially with National Mutual until 1997. In 1998 he became a financial adviser. In 2003 he started his own practice and joined his existing clients with those that formed part of his acquisition of the existing business of a retiring adviser. In 2007, he joined in partnership with Malcolm Jensen under Pacesetter Financial Services. He joined Fortnum Financial Advisers in November 2010 as part of Pacesetter’s transition to that group.
Peter holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and is a Member of the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA). With these qualifications and experience he is well qualified to specialise in advising clients regarding their protection strategies and associated risk insurances.

Personal
Peter and Jackie Beauchamp have been married since 1997 and have 2 small “rascals” at home – Dominic is 5 years old this year and a school “Preppie” whilst William is 3.
Peter can’t remember a time when either rugby league or rugby union were not a major part of his life. He played rugby for Australia in Under 19′s and played First Grade for Queensland University for many years, retiring back in 2000. Peter is still actively involved at University Rugby – he is the co-manager of the University Premier grade team and has been since 2006. In 2010 the team were the proud winners of the Brisbane Premier Grade Competition.
Beyond his family and the rugby, Peter doesn’t mind a session at the gym. Like Mal, he loves his music and is very proud that his 2 small boys have already grown to love a tune themselves (and a bit of air guitar) – both of his boys name their favourite as Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters.
